Tell me this: if this time of year is so wonderful and full of love, why don't we just continue it all year round?
I've been asking random people what the best part of this time of year is. Here is the top 2 answers: (1) crazy family togetherness and (2) people being nicer to each other...for at least 1 day.
Okay, call me crazy, but I'm pretty sure that we can do both of those things all year round. I'm also pretty sure that it would take a bit of effort because we would consider: (1) setting aside our "position" and being okay with not being "right" all the time and (2) keeping in touch with our family from a place of love all year round (see point 1 in this paragraph for guidance).
I believe that we have the power to awaken ourselves to be aware of others, the world around us, to our own motivations and to what the heart of the world actually needs. On that assumption, we can change how we interact with the world every day - we can feel the love, joy and peace of Christmas all year round. Profound, loving change - I don't know about you, but I'm definitely in.
It's always been our choice. Go forth and conquer with love.
